  1. Hello Netra. My name is Debbie and my mother posted your story to my wall on Facebook. I’ve been suffering from chronic migraines since I was 15yrs old. I am now 36 and they are only getting worse. I’ve been to many doctors and have tried various medications and other treatments, but to no avail. I will be following your story as often as I can to see if this daith piercing works for you. I am open to learning about any form of relief. Thank you for sharing your story. May God continue to bless you on your journey to pain free days.

      1. Hi Jane! I’m not sure! If I were you I would confer with a Dr. to see if they’ve ever heard of a piercing that does that. My neurologist had heard of the daith piercing relieving migraines.

    1. Hey there Felicity! It doesn’t compare to a migraine if I can say that! It’s more pressure initially then quick pain. It’s over really fast! It throbbed a little afterwards but nothing unbearable and that didn’t last long either. Hope this helps!πŸ˜ƒ

  2. Did you go to a place that specializes in the Daith piercing? I want to get it done but afraid they won’t hit the right spot

    1. Hey Chris! I would ask questions prior to getting it done! My guy said he had been doing it for over 20 years. That gave me great comfort! Just be sure they don’t use the clamps. Spike, my piercer, advised that it’s very painful!

    1. Hi Keshera! No it was not a Dr. who suggested or recommended I go get the piercing. My neurologist had heard of it but didn’t advise me one way or the other to get it or not to get it. I had numerous people over the last year or so to mention it to me and talk of it’s success.

  4. Did you get the piercing on the same side as where your migraines usually are? Or did you get both sides pierced?

  6. I am SO interested in learning more! Does it matter which side, left or right? I have regular migraines and daily headaches. Using Imitrex is a last resort because of the side effects and now I am having to up my Maxalt dose to even touch them. A natural option would be a Godsend! I am bookmarking this to follow. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Hey there Karen! I was told to get the piercing on the side where the pain is strongest. That’s why I did my left side. The migraines I had always started on my left side and spread. Speaking of side effects, I’m well acquainted with those too! I will be praying for your sweet relief soon. Stay connected so you can what others are posting that works for them. I’m still going to take a natural remedy to help myself out if I find one. Praying for you friend! God bless and keep u!

  7. Hey! Your initial post came up in my Facebook somehow, and I figured this would be the best way to ask you a few questions!

I’ve suffered from mixed migraines most of my life, sensitivity to light and sound, open nausea, been to a bunch of doctors and tried everything from imitrex to anti depressants and bp meds to stop them to no avail. I’ve been interested in the daith piercing for about a year now because of it being a possible cure.

What were your migraines like before the piercing? How long would they last? Did you get the migraines on one or both sides of your head? Did you get the piercing on both ears? How has sleeping been since you had it done, I’m concerned that it would be too sore to lay on?

I’m sorry if this info is elsewhere on this site, having trouble navigating it via my mobile device. Thanks for sharing your story with the world!

Looking forward to your reply, thanks again!

    1. Hey Erin! Lol! You mean you had some questions huh! Lol! It’s no problem at all…
The migraines started off being 1 or 2 a week several years ago. Excedrin migraine would knock them out! Well that stopped working and they became more frequent to every other day then every day. Of course I had to see a neurologist. Anything would trigger them…food, smells, outside elements, etc… then along that journey I started developing other symptoms which led me to the fibromyalgia diagnosis πŸ˜’… that was the real cause. It was the main pain source then the other pains followed along with the other symptoms…ughhh!!!
The migraines started on my left side always the migrated all over
They would last days prior to me going to a neurologist and getting real meds or to the ER
I pierced only my left side since that’s where most of the pain was and initiated
I had no problem sleeping on from the time I got it
If you get the piercing be sure they don’t use CLAMPS!βŒπŸš«β‰οΈ I was advised that it’s the painful method

      I hope this helps! 😊

  8. Hi Netra,

Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m also a chronic migraine sufferer. Did you get both done? If not, how did you decide which ear? I’ve been looking into this as well. I would love to get off medication.
Thank you again! I pray blessings and healing over you.

I pierced only ear. I was told I only needed to do one and to do the ear on the side of my head where most of my pain persisted. I stand in agreement with you as well for healing and blessings friend! πŸ™πŸ½πŸ˜Š
