  1. Hello. I am a Migraine sufferer. I’m looking into getting the piercing as well.
I have a few questions, as I’m a bit reluctant. Did you numb the area at all? If so, how? Did it hurt? You seemed to take It like a champ.
    Any advice for a newbie?

    1. Hey Lori! ☺️ no numbing… πŸ˜†there was more pressure initially then quick pain… it throbbed a little afterwards but nothing unbearable… now I’ll be honest I do have a high tolerance for pain… I’m a newbie to Sis! I’m praying this leap of faith proves to be a lasting resolve!!!πŸ™πŸ½

  2. I had this done over a year ago now, I went from 4+ migraines a week, down to maybe 1 a month. I also do not take daily medications anymore either. It is the best decision I have ever made! Congrats to you and the new life you will find! I hope it works as well for you as it has for me!

  3. I’ve been wanting to do this for about a year now but kinda scared! Did they recommend just one side or both for relief?
I’ve been a migraine and cluster headache sufferer for years and have researched this but only know 1 person personally who had it done for medical reasons.

    1. Hey there Nicole! I understand your apprehension. I wasn’t all in at first either but I had to take the leap of faith because I was just tired of the pain and ER visits. I did one side. My piercer said one side would probably be fine based on his reviews from his clients.

  4. I got mine done a few months ago… Went in with a major headache and by the time I left it was nearly gone. Haven’t had one since. Sometimes little stress throbbing but nothing like I was having! Best decision I could have made!

  5. Blessings and prayers I came across your blog and was just curious as to what a daith piercing is and how it’s related to curing migraines. I myself suffer with migraines and do not take medication for it however I am and herbalist but I’m interested in your feedback or information on how this piercing alleviate the pain or altogether stop it.

    1. Hi Novella! There’s lots of information out there on the Daith piercing! Do some research on it. I was told by many people about it and I just decided after being overwhelmed with meds, ER visits and stressing out my family to take the leap of faith. That part of the ear relieved all of the pressure and pain from my head when he pierced it. It happened immediately! πŸ˜ƒ

  6. I have thought about doing this so much! I wake up with headaches every morning and practically live on aspirin!
My only question is, how do you decide which side to pierce?

  7. Does it have to be on a certain side of your head or a real specific area? I’m wondering if any local piercer can do it or if I need someone who knows about this? Good luck to you!

    1. Hey there Heather! If I were you I would call around to the tattoo/piercing parlors and ask for someone who’s done it for a while and who doesn’t use the clamps! Clamps I’m told are very painful.
You want to get the piercing in the ear on the side where the pain is the strongest.
      Thank and same to you!😊

  8. Hi Netra, as a Migraine Sufferer myself, your story has intrigued me and sparked,my curiosity into having this done. Just wondering how painful is it and how much do you bleed? I’m on a blood thinner and have to be very careful with piercings. I’m not even supposed to get any more tattoos. I used to have,my nose pierced and on a scale from 1 to 10 that hurt about a 7. I think it was more the burning and stinging that hurt more than the actual piercing. So please be totally honest as I do consider myself someone that can tolerate pain well unless its to unbearable. #justcallmechickenbutnotscared 😊

    1. Hey there Jennifer! They ask if you’re on blood thinners before doing the piercing…😬.. now the pain level to me wasn’t bad but I too have a high tolerance for pain. On a scale of 1-10, I put it at a 4 or 5 but it’s so quick it’s not bad. You feel more pressure initially then quick pain. It throbbed a little afterwards but nothing unbearable. Now on the other hand, you know that what works for me and others may not work for you because we’re all different right! Soooo, you must pray before you take this leap of faith. I can’t guarantee it’ll work for anyone but has worked remarkably for me! πŸ˜ƒ Just please be careful if you’re going to risk it. 😬❀️😘☺️
